2008 was a busy year for B&B Theatres as the company added on-line ticketing, three stadium screens to Monett, Missouri, stadium seating to four auditoriums in Festus, Missouri, and began construction on a new theater in Hannibal, Missouri.

New Projects for 2009 include:

Harrisonville, MO- B&B Theatres will reopen a six-screen theatre in southern Kansas City area. The B&B Theatres Cineplex in Harrisonville, Missouri (located in the Mill Walk Mall) will reopen to the public on October 16^th. The former Harrisonville Cinema 6 is currently being remodeled and will include a state of the art Christie Digital Projector with REAL-D^® 3D. Harrisonville will be the first theatre in the area to receive this new technology. Other new features will be three larger screens, new sound systems, updated concession equipment, a fresh new look, and new management staff.  

Tavernier Fl (Key Largo)-B&B is pleased to announce the that the Tavernier Town Cinemas in the Florida Keys will be joining the B&B family of theatres. This exciting addition to B&B Theatres is located just south of Key Largo in the City of Tavernier. The theatre will be renamed B&B Theatres Tavernier Cinema 5 and will feature a new Christie Digital projector with REAL-D^® 3D. The theatre joins the B&B family on October 23, 2009.

Oklahoma City, OK (Windsor Hills Station Shopping Center)-B&B is pleased to announce the remodel and reopening of B&B Theatres Windsor 10, located on 23^rd Street in the Windsor Hills Station Shopping Center. This theatre will feature a completely remodeled exterior and a remodeled and updated interior with a full concession stand offering everything from Popcorn to Ice Cream. Four auditoriums will be converted to stadium seating auditoriums with DTS surround sound and high back rocker seats. In addition, two of these stadium auditoriums will feature Digital projectors with REAL-D^® 3D capabilities. This theatre will be one of the first in the Oklahoma City area to have this technology. The theatre is scheduled to open in early November 2009.  

Ozark-Nixa, MO- B&B is pleased to announce the B&B Theaters Ozark-Nixa Cinema 10 located south of Springfield, MO. This theatre will feature 10 all digital auditoriums with REAL-D^® 3D capabilities. It will also have the same amenities as other B&B Theatres including stadium seating with high back rocker style seats, wall-to-wall curved screens, and DTS surround sound in every auditorium. The largest auditorium will boast a massive screen that is 50ft wide! This will be the only first run theatre in the Springfield-Ozark-Nixa area to feature all Digital auditoriums with 3D capabilities.  The theatre will be located on highway 14 between the cities of Ozark and Nixa with easy access for both communities. Construction should begin in November 2009 with an anticipated May opening.

Wildwood, MO- B&B is pleased to announce the B&B Theatres Wildwood Cinema 10, a state of the art 10-screen facility in the St. Louis suburb of Wildwood, MO.  Located in the Town Center development, the theatre will be the first in the St. Louis area with all-digital projection; all 10 auditoriums will have digital presentation.   This will also be the first theatre in the State of Missouri and one of the first in the world to be built without a projection booth (digital projection allows for this new building design). The theatre will also have 3D capabilities and is anticipated to have two plush VIP Auditoriums that will be called “The Marquee” and will feature reclining seats and a large selection of alternative food and drink.  In addition all auditoriums will have stadium seating, wall-to-wall curved screens, rocking seats, and DTS surround sound. The largest auditorium will boast a 55ft wide screen! The art-deco designed theatre will be B&B’s most expansive theatre to date with extra amenities designed for this special market. Construction should start in November 2009 with an anticipated May opening.

Hannibal MO - B&B’s latest project, the Main Street Cinema 8, in Hannibal , Missouri opened on March 27th to raving reviews. This state of the art facility features 8 all digital auditoriums with REAL-D® 3-D capabilities. It also includes wall to wall curved screens, Stadium Seating, DTS surround sound and an extended concession stand. The theater replaced the existing Cinema 5 theatre that was built 25 years ago. The theatre is located in the historic area of downtown Hannibal at the corner of Main Street and Broadway. To our knowledge, this was the first all new digital theatre in the State of Missouri

Lebanon MO- B&B is pleased to announce they are adding a new screen and the Ritz 7 will become the Ritz 8 this fall. Lebanon has always been a good town and adding another screen will offer moviegoers more choices especially in the busy summer and holiday seasons!

Digital Cinema offers movie-goers the cleanest, brightest picture in the industry. Digital Cinema will also allow B&B to play 3-D movies on the big screen. With over 14 3D movies scheduled to open in 2009 there will be many opportunities to experience the new 3D technology.
